Suppose you would like to go on a family vacation. But you have a very sweet dog at home. Who should take care of him or her? Strand49 has the solution. On our dog-friendly campsite your four-legged friend is very welcome. In fact, there is plenty of room for your dog thanks to the spacious pitches of no less than 100 m2. And on the beach of Sint Maartenszee, which is just 10 minutes cycling distance from the campsite, your dog can have a great run. Happy vacations!

Dog-friendly camping near Sint Maartenszee
Strand49 is the ideal base to properly explore North Holland. If you are on vacation with the dog, go to the dike between Camperduin and Petten (Hondsbossche Zeewering). This has been raised with sand to create new dunes and a beach. Here your dog can romp around. Would you rather go on the water? Then take a seal trip on the Wadden Sea. If the children are also on vacation, consider an indoor playground or Sprookjeswonderland in Enkhuizen. Also don't forget the traditional cheese market in Alkmaar!
Running on the beach of the North Sea coast
On the North Sea coast you will find wide beaches, endless dunes and several nature reserves. It is one of the most beautiful parts of the Netherlands, especially for dog owners. Just 10 minutes by bike from our dog-friendly campsite you will find the beach of Sint Maartenszee. Here your dog is allowed all year round. Out of season (October to April) he or she may run free on the beach all day. Have a nice run! From May to September your dog must be on a leash during the day, but from 7 p.m. onwards it is no longer necessary.
Cottage on dog friendly campsite
Your labrador, terrier, spaniel or Dalmatian stays for free at Strand49's dog-friendly campsite. So you can take it with you! Are you not so keen on camping, but would you like to bring your dog on vacation? Strand49 offers a solution. Besides camping pitches we also rent out luxurious vacation homes where your dog can stay too. The houses have a large, private garden and lots of privacy. You can choose from:
